Managing Director – Spanish Urban Infrastructure Subsidiary

About the role

The Group is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Spanish subsidiary that provides road signage equipment and urban‑infrastructure solutions. The role is responsible for positioning the business as a market leader in Spain, driving commercial growth, and delivering a rapid return to profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Chair the Executive/Management Committee and directly manage the sales team.
• Develop and upskill sales and technical teams, fostering a performance‑driven culture.
• Design and execute marketing and operational plans to meet revenue, margin and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, especially international and public‑sector clients, and oversee contract negotiation and execution.
• Own the P&L, cash flow and investment roadmap, ensuring transparent reporting and full legal/compliance oversight.
• Monitor tenders, regulatory changes and competition; manage procurement, inbound logistics and local stock levels.

Required profile

• Spanish national, currently residing in Spain.
• 5–7+ years of executive experience as General Manager, Managing Director, Country Manager, Commercial Director or Operations Director within a national or international group.
• Top‑tier education (Business School, Engineering degree; MBA is a plus).
• Proven track record in business development, operational leadership and P&L management.
• Experience in public works, urban infrastructure, traffic management, road equipment or related sectors is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of the Spanish market; familiarity with the Basque economic environment is an advantage.
• Hands‑on, results‑driven leader with commercial acumen, resilience and managerial courage.
• Fluent English required; French a plus.
