Manufacturing Engineer – Empennages

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Empennages area at its Tablada facility in Seville. The role bridges product design and production, ensuring that empennage components are manufactured efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams to integrate manufacturing considerations from concept through detailed design (Co‑Design/Co‑Industrialisation).
• Define and optimise build processes, calculate operation times and manage technical sequencing.
• Specify and procure industrial assets such as jigs, tools, tooling and machines.
• Drive first‑article installations, collect shop‑floor feedback and ensure smooth production hand‑over.
• Maintain configuration management (Delta 2) and produce the integrated Manufacturing Dossier, including routings, BoM and Standard Operating Instructions.
• Support PFMEA/FMEA activities and participate in quality control boards.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in assembly, co‑design, industrialisation or process engineering within aerospace manufacturing.
• Proactive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
