Manufacturing Engineer – Empennages (Seville)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in empennages to join its Tablada site near Seville. The role bridges design and production, ensuring that empennage components are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams to integrate manufacturing considerations early in the product development cycle (Co‑Design/Co‑Indus).
• Define and optimise the build process, calculate operation times, and manage technical sequencing.
• Specify and procure industrial assets such as jigs, tools, tooling, and machines.
• Drive first‑article installation, collect shop‑floor feedback, and ensure smooth production hand‑over.
• Maintain configuration management (Delta 2) and create the integrated Manufacturing Dossier, including routings, BOM and Standard Operating Instructions.
• Implement standard work, standard time values, and support PFMEA/FMEA activities.
• Provide ongoing support to the production team, participate in quality control boards, and secure capability processes for components and parts.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in assembly, co‑design, industrialisation or process engineering within aerospace manufacturing.
• Proactive attitude with strong collaboration, team spirit and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
