Manufacturing Engineer – Neutral Beam Confinement Project

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Neutral Beam Confinement Project for our client Fusion for Energy in Barcelona. The role involves overseeing the design and production of neutral beam confinement systems, ensuring compliance with nuclear and pressure‑equipment standards, and managing technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and manufacturing of Neutral Beam Confinement Systems, including the Neutral Beam Vessel.
• Review and control engineering and manufacturing deliverables such as procedures and reports.
• Verify project requirements and manage documentation across engineering and production phases.
• Attend supplier and subcontractor sites for activities like mechanical testing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, monitoring on‑time delivery, quality and specification compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Nuclear Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with stainless‑steel component manufacturing under nuclear regulation or the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
• Familiarity with RCC‑M, RCC‑MR, RCC‑MRx or ASME codes is an asset.
