Materials and Processes Engineer (Military Derivatives)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Materials & Processes Engineer to join its TADAP3 department in Getafe (Madrid). The role focuses on the development, qualification and optimisation of materials and processes for military aircraft and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research, development and optimisation of composites, metals, surface treatments, paints, sealants and elastomeric technologies.
• Develop and manage technical specifications and qualification plans for materials and processes.
• Provide technical support to design, manufacturing, supply chain and quality teams.
• Represent TADAP3 in project meetings, MFTs and task groups, and lead the creation of process specifications.
• Define test plans for R&T, design and development of new technologies.
• Conduct failure analysis for assigned scopes.
• Support services, CML and the industrial environment with technical expertise.

Required profile

• Engineering or Science degree (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials and processes engineering.
• Advanced written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Strong analytical, solution‑finding and pressure‑handling abilities.
