About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical solutions within defined projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires a strong focus on budget awareness, documentation, and collaboration with senior engineers and junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate awareness of project budgets and optimize resource utilization.
• Execute technical solutions for engineering tasks, focusing on newness levels 1‑2.
• Participate in problem‑solving initiatives using Valeo methodologies such as QRQC.
• Prepare clear technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and presentations.
• Adopt digital tools outlined in the Discipline's Digitalization Roadmap to improve efficiency.
• Identify and suggest process improvements and innovative ideas.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Required profile

• Continuous technical development and staying updated on industry trends.
• Ability to coach junior engineers and support their onboarding.
• Proficiency in applying existing design standards and ensuring alignment with company guidelines.
