Mechanical Engineer – Robotics Mechanical Design

About the role

ARQUIMEA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Robotics Mechanical Design Team within its PULSAR HRI division. You will work on the design, development, integration, testing and validation of mechanical subsystems for high‑performance robotic, mechatronic and optronic platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies and subsystems for robotic and optronic platforms.
• Develop concepts for stabilized payloads, pan‑tilt mechanisms, sensor and actuator integration, enclosures and precision structures.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation.
• Support ruggedized system development, addressing stiffness, vibration, shock, sealing, corrosion, thermal behaviour, weight and manufacturability.
• Design mechanical interfaces for cameras, optical payloads, sensors, motors, actuators, electronics and cable routing.
• Lead prototype design, assembly, integration, testing, debugging and iterative improvement.
• Participate in mechanical testing and validation activities, including functional testing.

• Solid fundamentals in mechanical engineering with good technical judgement.
• Hands‑on mindset, curiosity and practical problem‑solving ability.
• Willingness to learn, build, test and improve real systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with software, control, electronics, systems, manufacturing and testing teams.
