Mechanical Engineer – Satellite Integration (Hybrid)

About the role

Indra Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) department. You will support the mechanical assembly, integration and validation of satellite hardware for a range of European space missions.

Key responsibilities

• Support mechanical assembly, integration and alignment of satellite units and subsystems.
• Manage and verify mechanical and thermal interfaces between equipment and structural elements.
• Prepare and execute environmental test campaigns (vibration, thermal‑vacuum, shock, EMC).
• Design, implement and maintain mechanical ground‑support equipment and test fixtures.
• Implement, run and document test procedures and validation reports.
• Work with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ICDs and technical manuals to ensure traceability.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical and test engineering teams for configuration control and test readiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AIT processes, tools and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience or formal training in mechanical and electrical integration of space hardware.
• Knowledge of functional and environmental testing (vibration, thermal‑vacuum, shock, EMC).
• Understanding of mechanical interfaces, structural assembly and thermal constraints.
• Familiarity with ISO 8 and ISO 5 clean‑room environments and contamination‑control procedures.
• Ability to work with ECSS standards and support project‑level tailoring.
