Open Innovation Associate

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of corporate open innovation? We are looking for an Innovation Strategist to define, design and implement cutting‑edge open‑innovation strategies for companies and governments. The role is based in Valencia, Spain, with a global mandate and frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement open‑innovation strategies tailored to corporate and government challenges, integrating venture clienting and venture building.
• Design and lead workshops that drive ideation, strategy formulation and open‑innovation roadmaps with senior stakeholders.
• Analyse emerging trends, market insights and disruptive technologies to inform strategy and provide actionable recommendations.
• Identify growth opportunities, craft innovation‑driven proposals and support business‑development activities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in open innovation, innovation consulting, corporate innovation or related fields.
• Hands‑on experience facilitating design sprints, ideation sessions or co‑creation workshops with senior executives.
• Strong command of Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile methodologies applied to real projects.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to present compelling arguments to executive audiences.
• Fluent in English, self‑motivated, proactive and willing to travel frequently.
