PD Engineer – Automotive Development

About the role

Itera Mobility Engineering is looking for a versatile automotive engineer to join its Plant Vehicle Team in Valencia. The role focuses on technical and quality problem‑solving for vehicles and their plastic and metal components, supporting new model launches and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and resolve technical and quality issues in vehicles and parts, and report solutions to customers.
• Manage engineering change documentation for vehicle projects.
• Investigate claims and customer complaints on sold vehicles.
• Develop technical proposals that add value to vehicles in production.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts meeting quality, design and deadline requirements.
• Provide technical support for upcoming vehicle launches at the production plant.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar automotive engineering role.
• Proficiency in interpreting CAE simulations such as Moldflow, static and dynamic tests.
• Hands‑on experience with 5D, G8D, 6‑panel, TCE Vismock‑up and CATIA.
• Knowledge of AIMS, WERS, GD&T and FMEA methodologies.
• Strong understanding of CAN protocols (KWP2000, GGDS/UDS) and ISO standards 14229, 15765, 15031.
• Experience with TCU systems, vehicle electronics and backend networks.
• Fluent English communication skills.
