Precision Assembler

About the role

The Precision Assembler is responsible for preparing assembly work, documenting processes, assembling equipment and tools, and performing required testing. The role also includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly during repair processes, using modern materials and tools to deliver high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
• Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and follow established procedures.
• Operate precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), as well as hand tools like hydraulic torque wrenches and fire torches.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during assembly.
• Participate in continuous improvement (CIP) activities and comply with Flowserve policies and procedures.
• Stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lb.
• Be willing to work overtime and weekends on short notice.

Required profile

• Advanced understanding of inspection equipment and its functions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Basic mathematical skills for rate, ratio, percent calculations and unit conversions.
• Customer‑service mindset for on‑time delivery and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends on short notice.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• HS Diploma / GED with 0‑2 years relevant experience or vocational training; workshop experience preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of micrometers, vernier calipers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Use of hydraulic torque wrenches and fire torches.
• Inspection equipment operation.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Basic computer aptitude with Microsoft Office and data‑entry systems.
