Product Assurance Manager

About the role

A Product Assurance Manager position is open at Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defence & Space) in Tres Cantos, in the Madrid area. It is a permanent role within a team focused on equipment product development for satellites and launchers, covering product consolidation, performance improvement and innovation. The manager ensures the quality of electronic processes and supports the project team in meeting customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of electronic processes (conception, integration, programming, tests, etc.) and of development processes
• Define and apply the Product Assurance Plan and the quality plan, and ensure its implementation
• Ensure the quality interface with the customer and lead and support the justification files (anomaly processing, etc.)
• Identify quality-relevant risks, support quality improvement initiatives and APQP, and coordinate risk mitigation actions
• Lead and support incident resolution (root cause analysis, PPS, 5WHYs, PFMEA) and non-conformance management
• Coordinate quality actions and manage the quality budget
• Certify product conformity with its specification, supported by quality staff
• Demonstrate conformity to processes and requirements at programme level to customers and external authorities, and drive non-conformance management at programme level

Required profile

• More than 8 years of experience in software product assurance, device (FPGA/ASIC) product assurance or product quality assurance
• Degree level (or equivalent) in engineering (electronic, automatic, aeronautic, etc.) or physics, chemistry, etc.
• Advanced level of English
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, analytical skills, rigorous approach and forward-thinking attitude
• Willingness to travel for business

Key deliverables include the Product Assurance Plan, Non-Conformance Analysis and Consolidated Action Plan, Technical Risk Register, Risk Mitigation Plan, end-to-end product/service conformity, attestation and APQP.
