Product Engineer – Automotive (German & English)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to join a technical project in the automotive sector, focusing on mechanical product development, feasibility and industrialisation. The role works closely with design, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers and customer engineering teams to deliver innovative components.

Key responsibilities

• Validate technical feasibility during offer and development phases.
• Apply standardised solutions and lessons learned throughout product development.
• Participate in design reviews and support technical decision‑making.
• Ensure prototype development and delivery according to project milestones.
• Conduct product and process FMEA activities.
• Analyse test results and define technical countermeasures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams during industrialisation.
• Manage product modifications throughout development.
• Support cost, quality and performance improvements through benchmarking.
• Work with purchasing and suppliers to optimise components for cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Create and maintain 3D and 2D CAD designs and technical documentation.
• Act as technical interface with customer engineering teams.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 2‑3 years of experience in mechanical product development.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD 3D/2D design and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of FMEA, product testing, prototypes and industrialisation phases.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, quality, purchasing or supplier teams.
• Fluent in Spanish, English and German (spoken and written).
• Previous automotive experience is highly valued; experience with plastic parts, exterior components, rear‑view or vision systems is a plus.
