Product Manager Adsorbents

About the role

Clariant's Business Unit Adsorbents & Additives is looking for a Product Manager Adsorbents to be based primarily at its Tarragona site, Spain. You will own a specific product portfolio and act as the link between operations, sales, R&D, marketing and customers to optimise the product lifecycle and maximise business group profitability. The role reports directly to the Product and Business Development Manager and is offered on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end product portfolio and lifecycle, including portfolio pruning and cost optimisation
• Define and maintain pricing guidelines and ensure compliance across sales channels
• Approve formulations, product and raw material specifications and packaging standards
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate product documentation with corporate and regulatory teams
• Lead resolution of customer complaints and balance customer satisfaction with operational feasibility
• Initiate and manage innovation and improvement projects with R&D and technical teams
• Develop strategies to access new market segments, such as the pharmaceutical industry
• Work with Marketing on technical content, training materials and trade show contributions
• Travel to engage with customers and stakeholders as needed

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a closely related field
• At least 3 years of experience in product management, technical marketing or a related role in specialty chemicals; sales or customer-facing experience is an advantage
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
• Ability to manage complex cross-functional stakeholder relationships
• Results-oriented, customer-centric and resilient under pressure

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of adsorbents, additives or related chemical products (preferred)
• Structured approach to prioritisation and problem-solving
