Production & Buying Manager

About the role

Augusta is seeking a Production & Buying Manager to lead its sourcing and production activities within the footwear sector. The role combines end‑to‑end product development with strategic buying, ensuring collections meet the brand’s quality, consistency, and design standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full production cycle from order confirmation to final delivery.
• Coordinate daily with national and international factories, supervising technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
• Resolve production, quality, and supply issues in collaboration with design and logistics teams.
• Negotiate prices, purchasing conditions, and lead times with suppliers.
• Manage sourcing and planning of leathers, linings, and components while monitoring purchasing budgets.
• Plan production needs based on sales forecasts, build delivery calendars, and adjust buying and stock levels.
• Track production KPIs such as lead times, incidents, costs, quality, and compliance.
• Monitor margins by style and collection and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in buying and production within footwear, leather goods, or fashion.
• Strong knowledge of materials, leathers, and footwear manufacturing processes.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier‑management abilities.
• Analytical mindset focused on costs, margins, and efficiency.
• Highly organized, autonomous, adaptable, and passionate about fashion.
• Availability to travel and high level of English.
