Programme Management Support Intern

About the role

The Programme Management Support Intern will join the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat in Bilbao, supporting governance and programme management activities within the Global Solutions Division of UN‑Habitat. Working under the Team Lead for Programme Management and Partnerships, the intern will help facilitate knowledge exchange and stakeholder engagement for the Coalition’s steering bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and follow‑up of meetings with the Local2030 Coalition Steering Committee and the UN Directors Group.
• Create and maintain up‑to‑date information in shared online spaces for coalition partners.
• Support the documentation and reporting of programme activities and outcomes.
• Contribute to the coordination of knowledge‑sharing initiatives among local actors and UN entities.
• Provide administrative support for the Secretariat’s day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• Current enrolment in a university programme related to international development, public administration, or a similar field.
• Strong interest in sustainable urban development and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
