Project Quality and Safety Manager

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Project Quality and Safety Manager to join its team in Trápaga, Bilbao. You will apply your expertise in quality and safety to support cutting‑edge transport projects, acting as the main liaison with the client’s Quality and Safety teams and collaborating with internal project, quality, and supplier groups.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in line with contractual requirements and Alstom processes.
• Lead internal Customer Satisfaction Surveys (iCSS) with the Project Manager and drive the resulting action plan.
• Support the Project Manager in preparing DfQ gate reviews and monitoring associated action plans.
• Guide project teams on quality contributions, ensure awareness of the Project Quality Plan, and report progress.
• Conduct project audits, reviews, and supplier quality system approvals as required.
• Manage non‑conformities, safety alerts, and technical change requests (CRs).
• Control project deliverables through audits and inspections, authorising submission to the customer.
• Lead the Supplier Part List (SPL) management and coordinate First Article Inspections (FAIs) with SQ and Procurement.
• Facilitate problem‑solving processes (8D, QRQC, REX) and ensure stakeholder involvement.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of quality and safety standards in transport or industrial projects.
• Experience interfacing with client quality and safety teams.
• Ability to lead surveys, audits, and corrective‑action processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
