Public Funding Controller Trainee

About the role

Join Valeo as a Public Funding Controller Trainee and support the preparation and management of tax credit and grant projects across Spanish plants. You will work closely with R&D teams and external consultants to ensure compliance and successful funding applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist projects that may qualify for tax credits or grants.
• Gather required information from R&D technical teams to complete funding files.
• Prepare tax credit and grant dossiers with consultants, applying Valeo compliance rules.
• Standardise tax deduction procedures across all Spanish sites.
• Analyse activity costs, personnel, and supplier data to build project budgets.
• Compile technical files for consultants and monitor dossier progress until certification or grant receipt.
• Complete monthly reporting and manage the signing processes for GATA (Grant Accounting Treatment Approval) and FAR (Funding Authorization Request).
• Monitor and control the approval workflow for projects and final certifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Very good spoken and written English; French is a plus.
• Results‑oriented with a strong commitment to teamwork in an international environment.
• Professionalism and transparency.
