Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function for Fairmont La Hacienda, a luxury 5‑star resort on the San Roque coast of southern Spain. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in line with ACCOR standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures.
• Obtain quotations, conduct market surveys and negotiate with suppliers to secure high‑quality products at the best price.
• Place purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, monitor stock levels and manage minimum inventory thresholds.
• Collaborate with department heads to refine equipment specifications and support the capital expenditure budget.
• Organise supplier meetings for major purchases or projects and maintain up‑to‑date supplier catalogues.
• Identify and qualify new vendors, administer supplier certification, and liaise closely with the Executive Chef on food procurement.
• Stay informed on import regulations, duties and banking practices to facilitate efficient importation.
• Recruit, train and develop purchasing ambassadors in line with ACCOR’s multi‑skilling philosophy.

Required profile

• Professional, courteous and flexible service orientation adhering to ACCOR performance standards.
• Strong analytical ability to advise finance on market conditions and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record in supplier management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead training programmes.
