Python Backend Developer – AI Products

About the role

Advanced Field Solutions is seeking a Python Backend Developer to join its Fuengirola office and help turn AI‑driven concepts into production‑ready products for field‑service engineers. You will work on Engineer Assist, an AI‑powered fault‑diagnosis system that combines live video, manuals and service history to identify equipment faults.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build data‑processing and retrieval pipelines supporting the Engineer Assist product.
• Integrate large language models, AI APIs and technical documentation into production systems.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, service records and customer data.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and implement automated tests.
• Troubleshoot backend and integration issues and support deployments.
• Participate in architecture, testing, deployment and customer‑feedback discussions.
• Own features from concept through delivery.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of practical Python/backend development experience.
• Experience building or maintaining REST APIs.
• Good understanding of object‑oriented programming and clean‑code principles.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, testing and collaborative development.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and communicate clearly.
• Authorized to work in Spain without visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to work onsite in Fuengirola five days a week.
