Python Developer

About the role

King is looking for a Python Developer to design, build and operate backend services, internal tools and data‑driven platforms that support critical business and product decisions across the company. You will work on large‑scale systems that process massive data volumes, run forecasting workloads and expose reliable APIs used by many teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
• Build scalable applications that support forecasting, analytics and decision‑making processes.
• Develop distributed processing pipelines and asynchronous workloads.
• Design and optimise relational OLTP databases, data models and query performance.
• Create and maintain data processing, analytical and forecasting workflows.
• Develop internal web applications and intuitive user interfaces for technical and non‑technical users.
• Integrate services with King and Microsoft ecosystems, including identity and collaboration platforms.
• Deploy, monitor and operate containerised applications in a cloud‑native environment.

Required profile

• Strong interest in backend engineering, distributed systems and cloud‑native development.
• Ability to collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers and business stakeholders.
• Enjoys solving complex technical problems in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• RESTful API design and development.
• SQL and relational database optimisation.
• Distributed processing and asynchronous programming concepts.
• Docker and Kubernetes (containerisation).
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Integration with identity, collaboration and productivity services.
