QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Valsea Technology is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to enhance and expand its frontend and API test automation suite. You will work alongside another automation specialist on a highly regulated product, ensuring reliable and scalable testing across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design effective test cases based on requirements, risks and business rules.
• Develop and maintain frontend automation using Playwright and Java.
• Automate GraphQL API testing with Postman and JavaScript.
• Review, improve and, when needed, rebuild parts of the existing automation framework.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Review pull requests and support fellow QA team members.
• Analyse failed or flaky tests to increase execution reliability.
• Manage test cases and executions using Jira and Zephyr (or similar tools).
• Report defects with clear technical evidence and generate Allure test reports.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing, including payment integration verification across environments.

Required profile

• Advanced written and spoken English.
• 4+ years of professional test‑automation experience.
• Strong ability to design comprehensive test cases (positive, negative, boundary, risk‑based).
• Experience working in highly regulated sectors such as fintech or payment solutions.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving skills.
