QA Automation Engineer (SDET) – Fintech / Spend Management

About the role

Join a fast‑growing fintech focused on corporate spend and expense management. As a QA Automation Engineer you will own test coverage across component, integration and UI layers, turning manual effort into reliable automation that the whole team can depend on.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and run automated integration, component and UI tests.
• Establish and drive test plans, selecting the appropriate methodology per component.
• Identify automation opportunities and align them with the product roadmap.
• Partner with developers to design systems for testability.
• Triage and analyse test results, debugging across production, test and development environments.
• Report high‑complexity defects with thorough evidence.
• Contribute to API documentation and participate in peer code reviews.

Required profile

• 4+ years of QA engineering experience in a software development setting.
• Hands‑on experience with a Python test automation framework (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Playwright).
• Strong SQL skills for data validation.
• Proven ability to design, write and execute manual test cases.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Familiarity with AWS services.
• Good understanding of the agile lifecycle and core computer‑science fundamentals.
• C1 level proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to work hybrid (2 days onsite in Barcelona).
