QA Project Manager (Barcelona)

About the role

Sopra Steria, a European consulting, digital services and software development group, is looking for a highly qualified QA Project Manager in Barcelona. The role leads and oversees quality assurance projects, ensuring high-quality software delivery that meets client expectations, and covers the QA project lifecycle from planning to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage functional and non-functional test plans with development and QA teams
• Ensure quality standards are implemented correctly and traceability of requirements from definition to validation
• Manage quality-related risks, issues and dependencies, and deliverables on time, in form and to quality
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (business, IT, security, compliance) and external providers and developers
• Produce executive reports on progress and quality, and promote continuous improvement in QA processes within Agile/DevOps cycles

Required profile

• At least 5 years as a software development project manager
• At least 3 years in banking or financial services projects
• Analytical ability, leadership, effective communication and results orientation
• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP or ISTQB are desirable

Required skills

• Quality assurance, functional, automated and regression testing
• Agile project management (Scrum, Kanban)
• JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Zephyr or equivalents
• CI/CD cycles and integration of QA into pipelines
