Quality Assurance Specialist – Fresh Produce

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to lead quality standards across our fresh fruit operations. Based in Seville, the role involves regular travel to the Netherlands, the UK and other EU locations during peak seasons.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth quality assessments of raw materials at packing and storage sites in the Netherlands and the UK.
• Make informed decisions on stock allocation and product suitability according to customer specifications.
• Perform quality testing, inspections, residue testing and analysis in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage labelling information to ensure compliance with customer, legal and internal standards.
• Support the delivery and monitoring of Quality KPIs, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of quality issues and drive CAPA implementation.
• Participate actively in the HACCP team and collaborate with packing houses, warehouses and external inspection partners.
• Provide operational support to the Technical Manager when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within fresh produce.
• Strong technical knowledge of fruit quality standards, specifications and handling requirements.
• Ability to analyse data and make independent decisions under pressure.
• Passion for the fresh produce industry and willingness to travel extensively.
