Retail Associate – End-of-Year Season (15h)

About the role

Columbia Sportswear Company is hiring a Retail Associate in Málaga for its end-of-year season. With over 430 retail stores worldwide, associates are the face of the brand: they ensure product availability, create visual displays, answer customer questions and run an efficient checkout, acting as brand ambassadors who support the Store Leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product features, benefits and availability, and by understanding customers' needs and preferences.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness and safety, and retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room or other inventory locations.
• Process all cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, loyalty programme sign-ups) accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing and processing incoming and outgoing product flow.

Required profile

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years or less of experience in a position or specialization.
• Aged 16 or older.
• Ability to move around in an active, sometimes physically demanding environment, including lifting items up to 40 lbs, and occasional exposure to dust and noise.
• Clear communication with others and a flexible schedule, which may change seasonally.

Required skills

• Operating inventory and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Using other retail software tools.

Expected pay is €1,363.91, reflecting the gross expected pay for full-time positions; new hires are usually paid the hiring rate of the specific store, and prior experience is taken into account.
