Robotics Calibration Software Engineer

About the role

ABB Robotics is looking for a Robotics Calibration Software Engineer to join the Sevensense team. You will work on sensor calibration for autonomous mobile robots, helping to improve precision and robustness of visual localisation and perception systems. The role is hybrid, collaborating with colleagues in Spain, Switzerland and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype and test novel sensor calibration algorithms and evaluate their impact on robot performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to perform root‑cause analysis and resolve calibration issues in the field.
• Develop and maintain algorithmic and software infrastructure code, including feature design, implementation and debugging.
• Produce high‑quality C++, Rust and Python code, participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Deploy calibration tools on AI‑ready ARM64 System‑on‑Chip platforms that will power thousands of robots.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of software engineers in a supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Passion for building reliable, high‑performance systems.
• Experience writing clean, efficient code in C++, Python or Rust.
• Ability to collaborate across global teams and communicate technical solutions clearly.
