Robotics Validation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Robotics Validation Engineer to join ABB’s Robotics business. In this position you will ensure the quality and reliability of autonomous mobile robot software before it reaches customers, working closely with world‑class experts in a fast‑moving, innovation‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and document validation activities for new features, bug fixes and software releases on robotic platforms.
• Investigate test failures, reproduce issues and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and verify fixes.
• Maintain and extend manual and automated test suites, working with the test‑automation team to increase coverage.
• Continuously improve validation workflows, test environments and release‑readiness criteria to boost testing efficiency and product quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with robotic platforms or complex hardware‑software systems.
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity, ownership and attention to detail.
• Experience in software testing, validation engineering or systems engineering is a plus.
