Sales Development Representative – French Market

About the role

Join SumUp’s fast‑growing fintech team in Barcelona as a Sales Development Representative focused on the French market. You will be the first point of contact for prospective merchants, introducing them to SumUp’s payment and POS solutions and helping small businesses across Europe grow.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct targeted outbound calls to identify and qualify potential merchants.
• Gather key business information and explain how SumUp’s products meet their needs.
• Schedule high‑quality, localized appointments for the Field Sales team.
• Use outbound tools, lead lists and past data to reach merchants who have not requested contact.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of engaged prospects for the Field Sales team.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French with strong communication skills.
• Friendly, confident phone presence and resilience for cold calling.
• Experience in fast‑paced customer‑facing environments.
• Track record of outbound outreach or sales is a plus.
