Sales-Structuring Executive Director

About the role

The Sales‑Structuring Executive Director will lead end‑to‑end back‑leverage transactions for Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in Spain. Reporting to senior management, you will shape complex financing solutions for institutional clients while ensuring disciplined risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Originating, structuring, negotiating and executing back‑leverage transactions, both non‑recourse and partial‑recourse.
• Coordinating with trading, sales, syndication, legal and risk teams across the EMEA region.
• Managing transaction life‑cycle from underwriting through closing, ensuring high execution quality.
• Developing cross‑border financing structures and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Providing strategic input to the CIB business line and supporting risk‑adjusted decision making.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in structured finance, structured credit, real‑estate finance, trading or underwriting within EMEA.
• Proven track record of delivering complex financing solutions for institutional clients.
• Strong leadership experience working with multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
• Fluent English; Spanish preferred.
