Security Manager – Hotel

About the role

Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, a family‑owned hotel chain with more than 80 properties worldwide, is opening its first hotel in Zanzibar. The company is looking for a Security Manager to lead all safety and security activities, protect guests, employees, assets and facilities, and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and monitor security systems and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
• Design and oversee access‑control and internal circulation strategies.
• Conduct investigations of internal and external incidents and ensure proper follow‑up.
• Develop emergency and evacuation plans, participate in the Emergency Committee and coordinate actions during critical events such as fire or evacuation.
• Maintain close coordination with external authorities (police, fire department, Red Cross, etc.) and service providers.
• Organise, supervise and train the security team, plan shifts, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar security role, preferably in luxury hospitality or large resorts.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, risk prevention and emergency management.
• Leadership and team‑management abilities with a professional demeanor in critical situations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
