Senior Backend Developer – Python & C++

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join a strategic banking and financial services project. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high‑performance backend systems using Python and C++ while operating in distributed, grid‑based environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications.
• Implement high‑throughput services in Python and optimise performance‑critical components in C++.
• Integrate and consume APIs to enable communication between distributed systems.
• Work with in‑memory databases such as Redis or Valkey.
• Deploy, operate, and maintain services in containerised environments, primarily on Kubernetes.
• Contribute to Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) design and implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents and optimise system reliability.
• Participate in the evolution of grid‑based computing infrastructures.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in backend software development.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Python for enterprise applications.
• Professional experience developing in C++.
• Experience with Redis or Valkey in‑memory databases.
• Solid understanding of API development and integration.
• Background in SOA‑based architectures and distributed computing.
• Familiarity with grid technologies such as Zero Grid, TIBCO DataSynapse, or IBM Symphony.
• Proven ability to manage services in containerised, Kubernetes‑driven production environments.
