Senior Clinical Trial Manager (Remote, Madrid)

About the role

AbbVie is hiring a Senior Clinical Trial Manager for a fully remote position based in Madrid. The role executes parts of clinical studies in line with quality standards (ICH/GCP, global regulations and AbbVie policies) and supports the Study Project Manager in leading the cross-functional study team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of Clinical Study Team meetings (agenda and minutes).
• Keep the cross-functional team and stakeholders updated on study status and ensure the CTMS is current.
• Support the development of the clinical study blueprint, protocol and related documents such as informed consent forms, eCRFs, IRT and CSR.
• Support vendor selection, scope definition, management and oversight of external vendors in line with AbbVie's processes and regulations.
• Generate study-related training for the study team, study sites and vendors.
• Proactively identify and resolve or escalate study issues and take part in process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, typically in nursing or a scientific field; RN licensure with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and relevant experience is also acceptable.
• At least four years of pharma-related or clinical research experience.
• At least three years in clinical trial management positions.
• Fluent English (C1); candidates must live in Madrid even though the role is remote.

Required skills

• Preferred: exposure to study initiation through study completion.
