Senior Cyber Threat Analyst – Incident Response

About the role

Verisk is looking for a Senior Cyber Threat Analyst to join its Enterprise Incident Response team. You will lead the detection, investigation, and remediation of security incidents while proactively hunting for emerging threats across Verisk’s global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents following the full incident response lifecycle.
• Investigate user‑reported and system‑generated alerts to identify potential breaches.
• Document lessons learned and manage post‑incident activities.
• Assist in tuning and improving incident response tools and processes.
• Collaborate with Threat Management, Legal, and Privacy teams as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of information security experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, cloud, and virtualization concepts.
• Familiarity with threat‑actor methodologies, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex incident‑response topics to varied audiences.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM, EDR, IPS, email security, eDiscovery and forensic tools.
• Knowledge of incident‑response processes and procedures.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or within a team on moderate to complex assignments.
