Senior Cybersecurity Consultant – Spain

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to lead security operations for a technology consultancy in Spain. The role involves monitoring SOC alerts, coordinating incident response, and driving improvements to the organisation’s security posture while managing a team of six security professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and manage SOC alerts and security reports.
• Define and implement action plans for security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Escalate critical security situations to senior IT leadership.
• Manage security actions across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and server infrastructure.
• Coordinate remediation activities with internal teams and third‑party providers.
• Track completion of cybersecurity action plans and corrective measures.
• Prepare operational, risk and executive‑level cybersecurity reports.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend improvements.
• Develop and improve processes for security monitoring and incident management.
• Support governance, compliance and risk management initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations and incident management.
• At least 1 year preparing and tracking operational or security reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
• Ability to lead initiatives, coordinate teams and drive continuous improvement.
