Senior DevOps Governance & Platform Engineering Lead

About the role

We are a European leader in consulting, digital services and software development seeking a senior professional to lead DevOps governance and platform engineering. The role combines strategic oversight with technical guidance, ensuring our high‑performing DevOps team operates under clear standards, metrics and risk controls.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce DevOps governance frameworks, standards and operating models.
• Establish, track and report key performance indicators such as deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR and change failure rate.
• Drive platform standardisation, architectural alignment and security/compliance integration across pipelines.
• Manage risk, capacity planning, budget alignment and vendor relationships for tooling.
• Coordinate DevOps activities across engineering, architecture, security and operations teams.
• Provide architectural oversight for CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes strategy, cloud‑native patterns and observability.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in DevOps governance and platform management.
• Strong ability to communicate with executive stakeholders and produce clear reporting dashboards.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• CI/CD & GitOps (GitHub Actions, GitHub Workflows, ArgoCD)
• Cloud platforms – AWS (including Fargate, EKS)
• Container orchestration – Kubernetes
• Data & messaging – MongoDB, Kafka (Confluent)
• API management – Apigee, AWS API Gateway
• DevSecOps tools – SonarQube, Nexus Repository
• Observability & monitoring – Dynatrace
