Senior Knowledge Base Scientist (CDAIO)

About the role

As a Senior Knowledge Base Scientist within Santander’s AI Transformation team, you will lead the design and evolution of the bank’s AI Knowledge Base for the Spanish market. You will bridge business needs, AI research and technology to deliver scalable, agent‑ready data structures that drive measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain local instances of the Knowledge Base, ensuring seamless integration of structured and unstructured data.
• Define graph schemas, entity‑resolution strategies, metadata models and retrieval pipelines aligned with global standards.
• Collaborate with data, engineering and product teams to adapt the Knowledge Base to local regulatory, linguistic and business constraints.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, monitoring practices and continuous‑improvement processes for knowledge‑graph components.
• Share learnings with global Knowledge Base leadership and contribute reusable components across markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an individual contributor in knowledge representation, graph systems or AI‑driven data platforms.
• Strong ability to translate global architectural standards into high‑impact local solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and a focus on delivering reliable, large‑scale intelligent systems.
