Senior Manager - Technical Program Management

About the role

This senior leadership position is based in Spain and sits at the core of a fast‑growing, globally distributed engineering organization. You will define and scale the Technical Program Management function from scratch, creating the systems, standards, and operating model that enable cross‑functional teams to deliver reliably at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the Technical Program Management function, establishing its operating model, standards, engagement patterns, and long‑term structure.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing team of senior TPMs, ensuring quality and preventing drift into administrative tasks.
• Design and own the execution framework linking Engineering, Product, Design, Customer Success, Support, GTM, and PMM, with clear ownership, dependencies, and escalation paths.
• Define company‑wide project execution standards within tools such as Linear, including tagging, milestone conventions, and visibility.
• Lead dependency mapping and launch readiness for large‑scale, multi‑team initiatives.
• Establish program‑level visibility systems for leadership without adding operational overhead.
• Partner with Engineering Managers and functional leaders to reinforce accountability, ensuring TPMs enable delivery rather than replace team ownership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or equivalent delivery leadership within high‑growth, distributed software organizations.
• Proven track record building, scaling, or transforming a TPM function and managing senior‑level TPMs.
• Strong technical fluency with the ability to understand architecture, evaluate engineering trade‑offs, and engage credibly with senior engineering stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success designing and operating cross‑functional execution systems between engineering and go‑to‑market or customer‑facing teams.
