Senior Project Manager – HVDC Projects in Spain

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑voltage direct current (HVDC) projects in Spain. The role is responsible for delivering large‑scale EPC projects from hand‑over through execution, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, financial and schedule targets while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the project execution approach, coordinating internal and external resources.
• Monitor and control project progress, financials, invoicing, cash flow and resource utilization.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, opportunities, changes and claims.
• Lead contract close‑out, formal acceptance and customer hand‑over.
• Procure services, materials and equipment, supporting negotiations and change orders.
• Oversee HVDC activities within the Spanish entity, ensuring staffing, skill development and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, acting as escalation point for issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing large EPC projects in the energy or industrial sector.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication abilities.
• Commercial awareness and financial acumen.
