Senior Project Manager – Solar PV Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects across Spain. Based in Madrid, you will report directly to the Country Director and work closely with both Spanish and French project teams, covering legal, finance, engineering and procurement functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare EPC tender packages, lead commercial negotiations and oversee contract execution.
• Coordinate preliminary site activities such as topography, geotechnical studies and hydrology assessments.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules and cost controls, including running the financial model to assess profitability.
• Work with the financing team to secure project funding and ensure compliance with regulations, insurance, HSE and environmental standards.
• Supervise construction progress, conduct site inspections and lead coordination meetings with EPC contractors, owners’ engineers and HSE managers.
• Manage relationships with grid operators and local authorities to obtain permits, licenses and administrative approvals.
• Provide regular progress reports to management and oversee the handover of completed plants to the operations team.
• Support M&A activities by offering project execution expertise and assist other departments when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Energy Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing PV plant construction projects, preferably from the EPC/contractor side.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and MS Project.
• Ability to work on‑site frequently and travel to construction sites as required.
