Senior Strategic Buyer - Material Field (Terrassa)

About the role

Syntegon Telstar, a Syntegon Group company serving life sciences, healthcare, energy and aerospace customers, is looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer (Partfamily Manager) in the material field of drawing parts turning and milling. You will define the location-specific strategy for your part family, covering quality, delivery time, costs, digitalization and automation, and act as escalation point for delivery, cost and quality issues at the Terrassa site.

Key responsibilities

• Control the entire purchasing volume for your complex part family at the Terrassa site and negotiate globally valid framework and multi-year contracts
• Take part in large cross-site procurement projects for PF assemblies and run Terrassa-specific procurement projects (forecast)
• Oversee the Terrassa location and implement site-wide cost reduction measures tracked in the CAT tool
• Award manufacturing parts and set inventory strategies to secure the supply chain within cross-site projects
• Maintain supplier relationship management documentation and prices and contracts in the ERP system
• Support the development of procurement processes and the material field strategy
• Travel about 20% of the time; availability for occasional travel (about 10%) to Germany/Switzerland HQ is requested

Required profile

• Degree in a technical or commercial field, e.g. mechanical or industrial engineering
• Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing
• Negotiation and contract award experience
• Experience in purchasing controlling or cost controlling
• Fluent English; a valid driving licence and own vehicle

• Familiarity with procurement methods such as the Kraljic matrix, SWOT analysis, TCO and shadow calculations
• Team player in interdisciplinary and international teams
