Senior Tax Expert

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Expert to join our Group Tax & Tax Management team in Spain. The role offers exposure to international tax matters, including FATCA, QI, EU DAC, and M&A projects, and requires a self‑driven professional who can operate independently.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage FATCA and QI compliance processes, including reporting, controls, and coordination with Swiss tax operations.
• Oversee EU DAC obligations, ensuring accurate data validation, documentation, and regulatory submissions.
• Act as a tax business partner to BSS Business Units, providing advisory support on products, services, and operational tax matters.
• Collaborate with Swiss and Spanish teams to align processes and maintain consistent tax governance standards.
• Support transfer pricing topics, preparing data, documentation, and coordinating with internal experts.
• Take responsibility for corporate tax compliance and tax reporting across relevant entities.
• Contribute to tax planning initiatives and support group‑wide projects, including restructurings and M&A activities.
• Provide comprehensive tax advice on a broad range of international and local tax matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Tax, Business, or Economics.
• Hands‑on experience with FATCA, QI, and tax compliance frameworks.
• Solid experience in international or regulated environments with EU or US tax reporting exposure.
• Ability to work independently in a compliance‑driven setting.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
