Senior Womenswear Designer – Barcelona

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Womenswear Designer to join the newly established Barcelona office of a leading international apparel manufacturer. The role focuses on creating trend‑driven, commercially viable collections for top European fashion retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Design seasonal womenswear collections across dresses, tops, bottoms and coordinated ranges.
• Interpret buyer briefs and translate them into commercially successful concepts.
• Present collections confidently to buyers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with product development and sampling teams in India to ensure accurate execution.
• Review prototypes, fit samples and provide technical and aesthetic feedback.
• Travel periodically to India to support development and sampling activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience designing womenswear for leading European retailers.
• Strong commercial awareness and an excellent eye for trends.
• Proven experience working directly with international buyers.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, washes, prints and embellishments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using 3D design software.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted design tools.
