SME Tax Manager – Information Reporting Expert

About the role

Taxbit is looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Information Reporting to act as the technical brain for its go‑to‑market and client implementation teams. Based in Madrid, the SME Tax Manager will translate complex global tax regulations into product logic and sales narratives that drive commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales and business development to create enablement materials, train teams on new regulations, and support strategic deals.
• Collaborate with marketing to produce white papers, webinars, and thought‑leadership content on regulatory changes such as CARF, 1099‑DA, and DAC7.
• Monitor the regulatory landscape, identify market gaps, and position Taxbit’s solutions as the premier compliance offering.
• Work with Customer Operations to lead implementations of the Tax Enterprise Platform, provide support during peak filing seasons, and troubleshoot complex filing errors.
• Conduct workshops for Customer Success teams to deepen their understanding of withholding and reporting nuances.
• Develop a thorough understanding of customers’ businesses, processes, and products through proactive discovery.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in IRS Chapter 3 & 4 (FATCA), CRS, CARF, and domestic information reporting (1099/1042‑S series).
• Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable product logic and compelling sales narratives.
• Legal authorization to work in Spain or any EU country without company‑sponsored visa support.
