Software Craftsperson – Python & AI (Spain)

About the role

This position is for a Software Craftsperson who will work at the intersection of software engineering and AI‑native development. Based in Spain, you will help build high‑quality, scalable systems while using AI as a co‑creator throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of engineering initiatives, ensuring delivery readiness and production stability.
• Design and deliver scalable, maintainable features with strong architectural focus.
• Identify and drive improvements in technical, product, and process inefficiencies.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate design, development, testing, debugging, and delivery workflows.
• Contribute to DevEx and delivery improvements using modern practices such as DORA metrics and flow optimization.
• Support estimation, planning, and incremental delivery discussions.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring and guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and align on outcomes.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years with AI/ML systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript and solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Hands‑on experience building production applications using large language models (e.g., GPT, Claude).
• Experience with prompt engineering and improving structured LLM outputs for business use cases.
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, PgVector).
• Knowledge of LLMOps practices such as CI/CD, prompt versioning, evaluation, monitoring, and cost optimization.
