Software Engineer – Build Internal Tools & MVPs

About the role

Octopus Energy Spain is looking for a Software Engineer to join a small, agile, cross‑functional team. You will work on fast‑moving MVPs and internal tools that simplify processes for both the business and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Tech, Customer Support and other teams to understand workflows and identify friction points.
• Design, prototype and build internal tools, dashboards and process automations.
• Develop services, automate tasks and integrate with internal or external APIs.
• Work with SQL databases to store and retrieve data.
• Pitch ideas quickly, test prototypes, gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• Operate in a hybrid, flexible environment that encourages autonomy and experimentation.
