Software Engineer II – Threat Intelligence

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer II to work on Threat Intelligence, developing large‑scale systems that protect users and the platform. You will join a fast‑moving team, write production code, and have opportunities to move across projects as the business evolves.

Key responsibilities

• Write product and system development code for threat‑intelligence services.
• Review peer code and ensure best practices for style, testability and efficiency.
• Maintain and improve documentation and educational content.
• Triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues affecting hardware, network, or service operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• At least 1 year of software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• At least 1 year of experience building large‑scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies and coding machine‑learning models.
