Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join its engineering team behind its iOS and Android apps and website. The role defines and drives long-term engineering vision, leads large-scale projects and mentors engineers, with a temporary embed in product teams to tackle complex architectural challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term engineering vision and strategy with other team members.
• Lead and execute large-scale engineering projects aligned with strategic goals.
• Plan and implement architectural strategies for scalability and business needs.
• Coordinate high-impact initiatives with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Embed temporarily in product teams to solve complex architectural challenges.
• Mentor engineers at all levels and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 8+ years in software engineering in agile environments, including 3+ years in technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of maintainable, scalable code, testing-driven development and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience handling services with high concurrency and volume requests.
• Strong leadership, communication and growth mindset; proficiency in business English.

Required skills

• Event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Profiling and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Plus: Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or Redis, DDD and clean/hexagonal architecture, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
