Staff Software Verification Engineer, Datacenter & Energy Software

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a Staff Engineer, Embedded Software Verification, to join its Software & Digital Platforms Group in Valencia, Spain. The role builds and leads verification efforts for software used in datacenter and energy products, including firmware, APIs, tools and services. It is a hands-on position working with cross-functional and geo-distributed teams to ensure the quality and reliability of software releases for embedded systems that drive intelligent power management.

Key responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand product requirements and incorporate testability into software designs.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, defining scope, objectives, resources and schedule.
• Collaborate with software architects and board design/system teams to define test platforms.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and implement tools and frameworks.
• Execute tests, analyse results, check releases against acceptance criteria and sign off on them.
• Prepare test reports, give feedback to developers and communicate test status and progress.
• Lead and mentor the test team and promote software industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of industry experience in embedded systems or software testing.
• 5+ years in test architecture and design definition.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience writing test code with Python and PyTest.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Working knowledge of signal processing concepts such as filters, FFT and harmonic distortion.
• Desirable: familiarity with electronic power control systems, C/C++, project management tools (MS Project, Jama, Jira, Confluence), and Agile workflows (Scrum, Kanban).
