Store Associate

About the role

The Store Associate plays a crucial part in the success of Sherwin-Williams retail locations. You will interact directly with wholesale and retail customers, helping them find the right paint products and solutions while ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone, identifying needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Process sales transactions accurately following company policies.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
• Maintain precise work order files and product formulas.
• Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse and mix/tint them to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves, set up displays, and keep the store clean and organized.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries as needed.
• Ensure inventory is well‑managed and suggest improvements to boost sales.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legal authorization to work in the country without sponsorship.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent academic qualification.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb frequently and up to 70 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• If an internal Sherwin‑Williams employee, a recent performance rating of “meets expectations” and completion of required eLearning courses.
